Crafted by artisan members of our collective in Northern Peru, the Tusk Bone Tepi brings together several natural materials, individually shaped and assembled by hand.

The long central section is formed from pelican bone, while the curved receiving end features a sea lion fang. Choose from three woods or bone for the blowing end. A natural amethyst stone, alpaca wire, and hand-painted resin details complete the piece.

The condor-inspired form connects the design to imagery of earth and sky, strength and perspective, while the natural curvature of the bone gives every tepi its own character.

Because the bone, fang, wood, stone, and hand-applied finishing naturally vary, differences in tone, shape, grain, and detailing are expected from piece to piece.

Care

Gently clear the airway before and after each use by blowing through the channel away from your face. Store the tepi in a dry place and avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight.

Wipe the exterior gently with a clean, dry cloth and avoid soaking or using chemical cleaners. Take particular care with the natural bone, sea lion fang, amethyst, and metal accents, protecting them from impacts during travel or storage.
